To place a photo as your wallpaper on your computer choose the graphic in the resolution you want in your web browser. For Windows users, right click on the graphic and it will show you a sub menu. From that menu you will have a choice to set the current graphic as your wallpaper. For Mac users hold down the mouse button to get a menu that will allow you to copy the graphic. Once the graphic is copied to your hard drive you can use it as wallpaper. The way you set wallpaper depends on what version of Mac OS you are using. With Mac OS 8 or later select Control Panels from the Apple menu. Select Appearance from the Control Panels menu and follow the directions for setting wallpaper.
If you want to use these photos in other ways you can also save these photos directly to your computer.
Screen Savers (Windows Only) - There are 20 different screen savers on this CD in 3 different resolutions. Links to the screen savers have been put on the photo pages. Download the file of the resolution you desire to your PC in an empty directory. Run this file. It will self-extract a number of files in that same directory. Run the unextracted file "Setup.exe". This will start the install process.
Printable Postcards - Included on this CD are 40 printable postcards. These postcards are in Adobe PDF format. You must have the Adobe Acrobat plug-in installed on your computer. This can be found on this CD at:
\adobe\rs40eng.exe (Windows)
\adobe\ar40eng.bin (Macintosh) or
\adobe\ar40eng.hqx (Macintosh)
There are 2 different postcards on each 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet. Print the front side of the postcard, put your paper back into your printer and print the back side. The US Postal Service requires that postcards be on at least 70 pound paper. We tried it on 110 pound paper and it worked well.
External Links - Throughout this CD you will find external web links to places in Oregon. For this you must have a connection to the Internet. On the picture pages the links are shown as a pull down menu that is titled "- click here to jump -". The other two places where external links can be found are the "Digital Postcards" and "Other Oregon Links" off the main menu.
